The purpose of this Scope of Practice is to clearly define the services provided through coaching and establish professional boundaries.

1. Coaching Services Provided

As an online fitness coach, services may include:

  • Exercise programming

  • General fitness education

  • Training guidance

  • Accountability support

  • Goal setting

  • Habit and lifestyle support

  • General nutrition education

  • Motivation and progress tracking

Recommendations are based on general fitness principles and the information voluntarily provided by the client.

2. Nutrition Guidance

Nutrition support provided is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

The coach does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for medical conditions.

Nutrition guidance may include:

  • General healthy eating recommendations

  • Macronutrient guidance

  • Meal structure suggestions

  • Portion guidance

  • Education on nutritional habits

Clients with medical conditions, eating disorders, allergies, or specific dietary concerns should consult a registered healthcare professional or registered dietitian.

3. Medical Limitations

The coach is not a physician, psychologist, physical therapist, or licensed healthcare provider unless otherwise specifically stated.

Coaching services do not replace:

  • Medical advice

  • Mental health treatment

  • Physical therapy

  • Rehabilitation services

  • Clinical nutrition counseling

  • Emergency medical care

Clients should seek qualified medical professionals for diagnosis, treatment, or rehabilitation.

4. Exercise Participation

Clients understand that participation in physical activity carries risks including injury, illness, discomfort, or health complications.

Clients are encouraged to obtain medical clearance before beginning any exercise program.

The coach may modify or discontinue recommendations if concerns regarding safety arise.

5. Professional Boundaries

Coaching is intended to support clients in improving fitness, health habits, confidence, and overall wellness.

The coaching relationship remains professional at all times.

The coach reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if client needs fall outside the coach’s professional qualifications or scope of practice.

6. Client Acknowledgment

By participating in coaching services, clients acknowledge and understand the limitations of the services provided and accept full responsibility for their own health decisions and participation.
